Beyond Installation: Your Partner Through Every Stage

Modernize Power provides a full range of services designed to ensure your critical operations have uninterrupted power.  Whether you need a trusted general contractor to manage a complex turnkey project from concept to completion, or a specialized subcontractor for specific phases like preliminary design, site evaluation, or main electrical switchgear replacement, we bring our C-10 Electrical, C-46 solar, and B-General Contractor licenses and 10 years of expertise to every task.  Our commitment is to deliver seamless execution and superior results, making us the adaptable partner your project demands.

01

Design Consultation

A successful backup power system begins long before the installation, it starts with a thoughtful, expert-led design consultation.  This initial step is where we assess your unique needs, goals, and challenges to create a customer-tailored power solution that meets your site requirements, industry standards, and budget.

Our consultations dive deep into understanding your operations, identifying critical loads, evaluating outage risks, and exploring fuel preferences and future expansion.  Whether you're protecting a healthcare facility, a retail center, or a farm, our team ensures that your backup system is designed for reliability, compliance, and long-term value.

Site Evaluation

A thorough site evaluation lays the groundwork for a successful backup power installation.  Our expert team visits your facility to examine site conditions, assess electrical capacity, and identify potential obstacles, from available fuel connections and equipment locations to environmental and code considerations.  This detailed analysis ensures your generator or energy system is sited for optimal performance, safety, and compliance.

During the evaluation, we review existing electrical infrastructure, measure load requirements, and verify access for delivery and maintenance.  We also consider noise, ventilation, and clearance needs so your power solution integrates seamlessly with your operations.  By catching challenges early, like underground utilities or load imbalances, you avoid delays, change orders, and other unexpected costs.

Turnkey Installation

Every project is different, which is why we offer both turnkey and a la carte installation options to meet your budget and existing general contractor relationships.  With turnkey installation we handle everything from start to finish:  design, engineering, permitting, trenching, concrete, fuel lines, equipment installation, wiring, testing, and final inspections.  It's a fully managed solution designed for convenience, speed, and accountability.

For those who already have parts of the project covered, like a preferred design and engineering team or equipment supplier, our a la carte services let you pick and choose exactly what you need.  We'll fill in the gaps and coordinate with your team to ensure everything comes together smoothly and to code.

Design and Engineering

A reliable backup power system is only as strong as the engineering behind it.  Our integrated design, engineering and construction team transforms your power needs into a fully code compliant, site-specific solution, one that's built to perform, approved to install, and ready to run in any emergency.

We produce detailed architectural drawings, electrical and structural drawings, load calculations, equipment specs, and permitting documents that align with local codes, utility standards, and regulatory requirements like HCAI/OSHPD or NEC/NFPA.  Whether your project involves a single generator or a more complex microgrid system with battery and solar, our design team ensures seamless integration and long-term performance.

Project Management

Installing a backup power system involves more than just equipment, it's a multi-phase project requiring permits, coordination, scheduling, and problem solving.   Our dedicated project managers ensure that your generator system is delivered efficiently, installed correctly, and commissioned without surprises.

We oversee every aspect of your project, from procurement and permitting to subcontractor coordination and utility approvals.  Our team handles the timelines, inspections, and communications so you don't have to.  With a single point of contact guiding the entire process, you stay informed and in control, without being overwhelmed.

Electrical Switch Gear Replacement

Electrical switchgear is the backbone of your facility’s power distribution system, directing, protecting, and isolating electrical circuits across your entire operation. When switchgear becomes outdated, overloaded, or unreliable, it puts your entire electrical system at risk of failure, fire hazards, or extended downtime.

Whether you're expanding your electrical load, replacing obsolete components, or upgrading for code compliance, switchgear replacement ensures safe and efficient power control. Modern switchgear enhances protection, improves system monitoring, and supports compatibility with backup generators, ATS systems, and renewable energy integrations.

Maintenance and Repair Services

A generator is only as reliable as the care it receives. Routine service and preventative maintenance ensure your backup power system is ready to perform when the grid fails, not just when it’s new, but for years to come. Without regular attention, even the best equipment can suffer from fuel issues, battery failure, or unnoticed wear that leaves you unprotected when it matters most.

Our comprehensive maintenance plans include inspections, oil changes, fuel system checks, battery testing, load bank testing, and remote monitoring where applicable. Whether you have a diesel, natural gas, propane, or hybrid system, our certified technicians keep your equipment in peak condition and in full compliance with local codes and manufacturer specs.
